BROTHERS RETREAT
September 13-15, 2024
Brothers Retreat is an overnight camp “residential” where participants stay at camp for 2 consecutive nights and it is open to Muslim Brothers 16 years and older. Participants 16-19 years old must obtain parents and/or guardians permissions to attend this camp.
BROTHERHOOD EVENT:
Participants will enjoy a wide array of team building activities that will be fun and promote brotherhood bonding. There will be enhanced leadership development opportunities for participants.
The days will be filled with activities, e.g. canoeing, hiking, archery, swimming, outdoor team building activities/games and Campfire* (subject to fire ban restrictions) and more...
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Meals, and organized activities. All participants are provided with the opportunities to enjoy and challenge themselves while meeting new brothers and breathing in the fresh air!
CAMPER’S TASKS:
Each participant will have assigned tasks to contribute to the fun.
RETREAT FEES:
$175 per participant, 16 years and older (by August 20, 2024)
$200 per participant, 16 years and older (after August 20, 2024)
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
Transportation is not included, The campsite is about 10 hours drive from Vancouver. Carpooling is available at additional share travel cost..
Certain camp activities may entail some additional costs. (i.e. horseback riding ..etc.)
CABINS & SLEEPING ARRASNGMENTS:
There is 14 cabins on site, with plenty of space available for us. we booked the whole campsite to ensure exclusivity and Islamic Environment.
Participants, will need to bring their own beddings, and sleeping bag (or sheets and pillows).
AMENITIES:
There is an industrial scale Kitchen, indoor washroom and shower, including wheelchair accessible facilities, fire pit and Lodge.
REGISTRATION & PAYMENT:
For us to adequately prepare for the camp, all registrants must complete their registration. Those who complete the form will be provided with detailed information Package by first week of September 2024.
MVC FAMILY CAMP
August 2-4, 2024
MVC FAMILY CAMP is an overnight camp “residential” where participants stay at camp for 2 consecutive nights and it is open to Muslim Brothers and Sisters of all ages (kids less than 16 years old must be accompanied by adults please).
FAMILY EVENT:
We invite you and your family to join us for a family fun-filled community camping experience at Camp Whonnock in Maple Ridge, BC.
Campers will enjoy a wide array of team activities that will be fun and promote community building. There will be enhanced programming for young campers and leadership development opportunities for young adults.
The days will be filled with activities, e.g. canoeing, hiking, archery, swimming, sports, games and Campfire* (subject to fire ban restrictions) and more...
WHAT’S INCLUDED:
Meals, and organized activities. All Campers are provided with the opportunities to enjoy and challenge themselves while meeting new
friends and breathing in the fresh air!
CAMPER’S TASKS:
Camp staff is made off participants like you. All participants will have assigned chores during the camp at all times to ensure a fun and safe camp experience.
CAMP FEES:
GENERAL ( 12 years and older) $125 per camper (must be paid by May 31) June 1st - July 15th $150 per camper
JUNIOR ( 11 years and younger) $100 per camper (must be paid by May 31) June 1st - July 15th $115 per camper
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
Transportation is not included, and each participant is responsible for arranging their transportation to and from the camp.
SLEEPING ARRASNGMENTS:
There is limited cabin space. Registration will strictly follow the first-come-first-serve base. Please do not expect to have a cabin reserved for your family. Sisters will be assigned 4 cabins and brothers will be assigned 3 cabins to maximize the sleeping space. If you prefer to be in the cabin with a certain family friend please advise in advance while registering. Priority will be given to filling up cabin space and early confirmed (paid) registrations. Changes to the sleeping arrangements will not be permitted after assignment.
CABINS:
A total of 7 Insulated Cabins that have covered porches, windows, and ventilation will be available. 7 cabins assigned to Sisters and 3 to Brothers. Each cabin sleeps 8 campers.
Campers will need to bring their mattress, and sleeping bag (or sheets and pillows). These bunks are wooden, and no mattress is provided.
